LysiThru is Lysigen's end-to-end lysin discovery and development platform, spanning every stage from bioinformatics and initial screening through to a validated candidate ready for preclinical study. It allows Lysigen to identify, optimize, and produce novel lysins rapidly and economically. The platform comprises:
- - Gene mining and bespoke bioinformatic algorithms to identify lysin candidates from large sequence databases.
- - High-throughput cloning, engineering, and screening of candidates.
- - Biochemical and microbiological characterization to evaluate activity, stability, specificity, and suitability for the intended indication.
- - Fermentation, scale-up, purification, and QC.
- - Formulation development.
- - In vivo models of infection.
Integration with the Zeus Platform
Zeus is a bioinformatics platform developed by CC Bio, the UK subsidiary of Lysigen's parent company, Precisio Biotix Therapeutics. It widens both the range and the depth of candidate discovery: Zeus holds close to 90 million candidate lysins, has analyzed more than 2 million input sources, and has identified lysins across more than 70,000 bacterial taxa. Used as an input to LysiThru, Zeus increases the number and quality of candidates entering the high-throughput pipeline.
